Holland Bulbfields & Keukenhof

Holland in spring is one of Europe's greatest spectacles — millions of tulips, hyacinths and daffodils painting the Dutch landscape in breathtaking colour, while windmills turn slowly above the flat polderlands and elegant canal towns reflect in the still water. This three-night break catches the very end of the Keukenhof season — a perfectly timed opportunity to experience Holland at its most colourful.

Keukenhof Gardens — the world's largest flower garden — is the undisputed highlight: 32 hectares of cultivated parkland planted with over seven million bulbs in intricate patterns and sweeping beds, set around a beautiful lake. Even at the very end of April the display is spectacular, and the gardens are often less crowded than at peak season.

Beyond Keukenhof, the bulbfield region of the Bollenstreek offers mile after mile of colour-striped fields stretching to the horizon, and the charming historic town of Leiden and elegant Haarlem are both within easy reach for those who want to explore further.
