Gold Crest Holidays is a trading name of Cawthorne's Travel Ltd (company number 17411356), Mangham Road, Rotherham, S61 4RJ. We are the data controller for the personal information described below. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

What we collect

When you use our enquiry, reservation, group-trip or chat forms, or contact us by phone or email, we collect:

• your name, postal address, email address and phone number;
• details of the trip you are interested in, your party size and any children's ages;
• for groups and schools, your organisation name and trip requirements;
• any special requirements you tell us about (for example mobility or dietary needs), which may include health information. We only use this to arrange your holiday and only with your consent;
• basic technical information such as your browser type, collected through the site and its hosting.

How and why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and make your booking (contract / steps before a contract).
• To run your holiday, including sharing details with hotels, ferry and attraction providers (contract).
• To meet legal obligations, such as accounting and financial protection requirements (legal obligation).
• To tell you about future holidays by email, only if you have agreed or are an existing customer, and you can opt out at any time (consent / legitimate interests).

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed with the hotels, ferry and tunnel operators, attractions and other suppliers who provide your trip, with our financial protection provider where required, and with the service providers who host our website, receive our form submissions and send our emails. These providers act on our instructions. We do not sell your data. Some suppliers are outside the UK (for example in France, Belgium and the Netherlands) where that is necessary to deliver your holiday.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after 12 months. Booking records are kept for 7 years for accounting and legal reasons. Marketing contact details are kept until you ask us to stop.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to our use of it, or to move it to another provider. You can withdraw consent to marketing at any time. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).

Cookies

We use only the essential storage needed to run the site (for example remembering that you have seen the welcome animation). We do not use advertising cookies.
