Holland Bulbfields & Keukenhof

Holland in spring is one of Europe's greatest spectacles — millions of tulips, hyacinths and daffodils painting the Dutch landscape in breathtaking colour, while windmills turn slowly above the flat polderlands and elegant canal towns reflect in the still water. This four-night break is perfectly timed to catch the bulbfields at their magnificent best.

Keukenhof Gardens — the world's largest flower garden — is the undisputed highlight: 32 hectares of cultivated parkland planted with over seven million bulbs in intricate patterns and sweeping beds, set around a beautiful lake. The annual display, which runs from late March to mid-May, is simply one of the most spectacular sights in the natural world and has to be seen to be believed.

Beyond Keukenhof, the bulbfield region of the Bollenstreek offers mile after mile of colour-striped fields stretching to the horizon. The charming historic town of Leiden and the elegant city of Haarlem are both within easy reach, as is the Dutch capital Amsterdam with its world-famous canals and museums.
