Bournemouth is one of England's most popular and enduring seaside resorts, boasting over seven miles of golden sandy beaches, a vibrant town centre and beautifully maintained coastal gardens. Even in November, Bournemouth retains a wonderful atmosphere with fewer crowds and a relaxed, welcoming feel.
The town centre is packed with shops, restaurants and entertainment, while the famous pier stretches out over the sea offering wonderful views along the bay. The Lower Gardens, which run from the town centre down to the seafront, are a delight in any season — and the nearby cliff lifts offer a charming way to reach the beach.
For a change of scene, the neighbouring towns of Poole (with its vast natural harbour and Old Town) and Christchurch (with its beautiful Priory) are both easily reached and make excellent day trips.
