Babbacombe

Babbacombe is a charming village perched on the clifftops above Oddicombe Beach in Torquay, Devon — and at Christmas it is particularly delightful. The village is home to the world-famous Babbacombe Model Village, which is spectacularly illuminated for the festive season with thousands of twinkling lights, miniature Christmas markets and tiny animated scenes.

Oddicombe Beach, reached via the famous Babbacombe Cliff Railway (one of the oldest cliff railways in the UK), is a peaceful shingle beach with dramatic red sandstone cliffs. The views from the clifftop are simply stunning.

Torquay town centre, with its Christmas lights and festive atmosphere, is just a short distance away and offers excellent shopping, restaurants and the beautiful seafront. This is a wonderfully relaxed Christmas break in one of Devon's most scenic corners.
